Go NoArmy.comSome late news from the independent news site Indybay: Army Recruitment Site Remixed by NoArmy.com Sunday Mar 23rd, 2008 1:17 PM NoArmy.com, an unauthorized remix of GoArmy.com that tells the truth recruiters don't want you to know. The Army recruitment site GoArmy.com is one of the most heavily advertised web sites on the planet. It's a slick marketing effort to make enlisting look like the perfect job opportunity: a stable, safe way to make money and serve America. Of course, there's a lot about the Army that isn't mentioned on GoArmy.com. From the Iraq War to human rights abuses to the stop-loss policy, the official recruitment website is strangely silent. So, on March 19th, to clear up confusion and commemorate the 5th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, NoArmy.com was launched. It's a remixed version of the recruitment site which presents the facts missing in the Army sales pitch, and shows potential recruits what they can really expect if they enlist. http://www.NoArmy.com ![]() For a sample of the type of anti-recruitment material you'll find there, you might try viewing this short "recruitment" video at the site (warning: violent content). posted by Merle Harton Jr. | 1:10 PM | |
